Where we work, and who to ask locally
Building Warrants are handled by your local council's building standards service, so the process is the same wherever you are in Scotland, but each council has its own team and contacts. We've listed them below.

How we work further afield
Many projects start with photos and drawings, so we can often tell you what's needed before anyone travels. Where an inspection is needed, we visit the property, just as we would in Edinburgh.
To confirm with GCP AssociatesHow GCP handles site visits for distant projects (e.g. Dumfries and Orkney): travel arrangements, any travel charge, and what can be done remotely.Tenements, terraces and the New Town
Edinburgh's older buildings bring their own questions, from shared walls in tenement flats to listed buildings in the New Town. We've written a separate guide.
